The meeting will be held from Monday June 18th till Friday June 22nd in the conference hotel “Atrium”,http://www.atrium-mainz.de/en/atrium.html which is located in close vicinity to Mainz (Germany). Mainz is a nice city at the river Rhine with two millennia of roman and medieval history.

Travel information

Mainz is located close to the international airport of Frankfurt, and also very well connected by highways and railway.

If you arrive by plane to Frankfurt airport, follow the signs either to “Regionalbahnhof” (regional trains) or “Fernbahnhof” (long distance trains). You can get to Mainz from both train stations in Frankfurt airport. We recommend “Regionalbahnhof”, as there are more trains to Mainz, e.g. the regular metro line S8. The travel time from “Regionalbahnhof” to “Mainz Hauptbahnhof” (main train station) is approx. 30 min. and costs 4 €. You can check the train schedule and book tickets online. On the website please select connections from “Frankfurt(M) Flughafen Regionalbf” to “Mainz Hauptbahnhof”.

From Mainz train station you can take the bus line No. 55 in direction “Mainz Finthen” and exit at the bus stop “Atrium” (for more info, please visit the website for public transport within Mainz) . The bus trip will take 15 min. and costs 2.50 €. Tickets can be bought at the machines in front of the train station. Alternatively you can take a taxi, which will make the trip in 10 min. at still moderate costs around 10-12 €.

Accommodation

The hotel reserves a number of rooms at special price for the attendees of the meeting. Booking must be via the organizers. Do not book the rooms yourself. Please contact the organizers (c/o Ms. Damaris Zeitler) to let us know your arrival and departure time as soon as possible – and we’ll reserve a room in the hotel for you.
